Assisted Living

Used for our Senior Care programs, landscaping or other special items requested by the staff caring for the residents in our senior care centers.


Cardiac Rehabilitation

Funds enhance existing programs, services, and equipment, as well as help purchase new equipment, related information and educational programs, facilities improvements, and patient services.


Cardiac Services

To be used for programs, equipment, or services in the Cardiac Services Department. Donated funds are used to purchase special cardiac exercise equipment and education programs.


Cardiac Surgery

To be used for purchasing and updating equipment, as well as helping fund cardiac education programs.


Center for Behavioral Health

Used for the Center of Behavioral Health to purchase things such as clothing items, video games and movies, outdoor gym equipment and items for adolescent patients.


Children's Center

For programs, playground equipment, staff training, etc. at the Rapid City Children's Center.


Children's Miracle Network

The funds are used to pay for items, which may include equipment, training and educational programs, supplies and services for staff and patients, scholarships to specialty camps for special needs children, patient recreational supplies, and facility improvement in Pediatrics, the Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.


Community Outreach

Funds are used to assist with community outreach activities such as a health activites at local schools.


Diabetes

Funds are used to provide quality education and services for those in the diabetic community.


Dialysis

Funds are used to purchase materials for patients to view, educational or entertainment, during their dialysis treatment, as well as to assist in transporation needs.


Dialysis Staff Education

Used to further educate the medical staff in the Dialysis department on new medications and procedures.


Education Fund

Used for miscellaneous education activities within Rapid City Regional Hospital, including Driver's Education, CPR classes, computer and phone skills, etc.


Family Practice Residency Center Education

Funds help to purchase equipment for acute and chronic medical problems, expectant mothers, well-baby visits and immunizations, school sport physicals, annual check-ups, and minor surgical procedures.


Georgia Quill Nursing Development

Sponsors an annual education program that will support our goal of a commitment to excellence in patient care, by further educating and developing the nursing staff employed at Rapid City Regional Hospital.


Grape Time Premier Wine Tasting

A Community Event Benefiting Rapid City Regional Hospital Programs


Home Health

Funds help purchase and update equipment, reimburse home care provider's gas mileage, fund staff education programs, and transportation funding for patients.


Hospice House

Funds are used to provide a safe, comfortable home where people can spend the last days of their lives with a combination of 24-hour custodial and acute skilled care.


Hospice of the Black Hills

Funds are used to provide supportive and comfortable care for patients in an advanced stage of a life-threatening illness through physical, emotional, and spiritual care for both the patient and their family.


Intensive Care Unit

Funds are used for ICU improvements and equipment needs.


John T. Vucurevich Regional Cancer Care Institute Patient Assistance

This fund is also know as the Hand in Healing Fund. It is accessed by the RCCI social worker using a voucher system for RCCI patients, primarily those who are traveling to Rapid City for cancer treatment, with financial needs for accommodations, transportation, and food during their treatment. This may also provide payment for services not provided by the research studies or for equipment specifically needed for studies. Approved in advance by research staff members and/or RCCI Social Worker.


Karen Tieszen Healing Arts

This fund is used to complement state-of-the-art clinical care with books, music, and other creative materials to support cancer patients along their journey.


Lifeline

Funds are used to purchase additional Lifeline units, which include the Lifeline Personal Help Button, Lifeline Telephone, and education for the Personal Response Associates.


Maternal Child

Funds are used for staff education related to perinatal conditions and symptoms as well as other medical related courses.


Obstetrics

Funds are used to purchase equipment as well as specialized conferences and classes to further the education of care-givers in the obstetrics field.


Oncology 10th Floor

Funds are used to purchase equipment and staff education in areas such as new medications and procedures, and to fund cancer support groups for patients.


Orthopedics

Funds are used to purchase equipment and staff education in areas such as new medications and procedures and patient education in areas such as prevention of injury.


Patient Family Crisis Fund

Assists patient families when no other resources are available in regards to meal vouchers, lodging and clothing items when being dimissed from the hospital, as well as transportation for a patient if they have no other way to arrive for medical treatment.


Paul Hallett Emergency Kidney Fund

Funds are used to assist dialysis patients for transportation needs, living expenses, medical costs that are not reimbursed by any other agency, and medication costs on an emergency basis.


Pediatric Emergency Transportation

It is primarily used for RCRH pediatric patients who require a special service that is not offered here (i.e. newborns requiring surgery); however, it may also be used to assist incoming patient travel.


Radiology Education

Funds are to be used for staff education, including information on new drugs and procedures, patient care, and computer and radiology equipment maintanence and use.


Regional Rehabilitation Institute

General funds given to Regional Rehabilitation Institute, which can be used for equipment, programs, facilities improvement, or patient services as needed.


Respiratory Therapy

Funds are used for purchasing and updating equipment, staff education, and funding the Better Breather's Support .


Ron Trautman Medical Student Scholarship

Funds are used to offer Medical Student Scholarships to students entering their third year at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Family Practice Residency to assist medical students with their financial obligations as well as enhance physicican recruitment to the Rapid City area.


Tough Enough to Wear Pink

General funds given to RCCI, which can be used for programs, equipment, facility improvement, or patient services as needed. This is also used to fund public awareness, screening and early detection activities. Also available for equipment and patient comfort/convenience items related to oncology specialties served outside the radiation and medical oncology outpatient facility.
